Emergency Alarm Sequence The sequence of events that take place once an
emergency alarm has been sent by pressing the
Emergency Button.
Emergency Button Button with triangle (D), located second from the
left. Pressing it for .75 seconds begins the emer-
gency alarm sequence. Pressing it again for 3
seconds cancels the emergency alarm; however, the
alarm will not shut off in ECC until acknowledged
by a Dispatcher.
Emergency Talk g roup A talkgroup that is automatically engaged between
the sending radio and the dispatch consoles.
PTT Switch The large Push-To-Transmit [PTT] Switch located
on the side of the microphone (F). Pressing the
PTT Switch allows you to talk during a transmis-
sion or telephone call. When the PTT Switch is
release [not being pressed], you can hear the
conversations of other radio operators or the
person on the telephone interconnect.
