Basic Radio Operation Concepts
Your Snohomish County PUD radio offers a number of advantages, including
fast system access, enhanced privacy, and ease of operation. In a computerized
system, there is no need to check to see if a channel is busy before a transmission;
however, you do need to
listen for the alert tones before you start talking to receive
information about availability of channels and features you are trying to access.
