Function
Reduces primary voltage to secondary voltage.
Steps down voltage from 120 or 230 VAC to 24 VDC.
Specifications
Steps down voltage from:
90 - 264/50-60/1 VAC to 24 VDC 8.4 A
Check Procedure
1. Inspect for correct wiring.
2. Check for line voltage at transformer primary
• No line voltage present - Refer to power relay and
toggle switch check procedures
• Line voltage present - Continue diagnostics
3. Check voltage at transformer secondary
• 24 volts present - Transformer is ok
• 24 volts is not present - Transformer fuse is blown
If fuse is blown check for shorts to ground on
secondary side components
4. Isolate secondary wiring and check for 24 volts
• 24 volts present - Repair wiring or replace
component
• 24 volts is not present - Replace transformer
