Part Number STH034 3/12 147
VERSION 1 ICE MACHINE R404A REFRIGERANT -
FLOAT SWITCH/WATER CONTROL RELAY
Function
The float switch works with the water control relay to
fill reservoir. When the reservoir is empty, the upper
float is the control float - The water inlet valve
energizes until the upper float closes. When the water
reservoir is full, the lower float is the control float. The
bottom float controls the water inlet valve to maintain
the correct water level during the freeze cycle.
Check Procedure
Use a voltmeter/ohm meter to check switch operation.
1. Inspect the switch for correct wiring.
2. Isolate the switch by disconnecting the wiring
connectors.
3. Check continuity across the switch terminals in
the open and closed position. Replace the switch
if continuity readings do not match both switch
settings.
