Water Supply and Drain Requirements
WATER SUPPLY
In most areas, a water filter of some type will be
useful. In areas where the water is highly concentrated
with minerals the water should be tested by a water
treatment specialist, and the recommendations of the
specialist regarding filtration and/or treatment should
be followed.
WATER INLET LINES
Follow these guidelines to install water inlet lines:
• Use supplied 3/8" panel-mounted hose barb and 6'
(1.8 m) of beverage tubing to connect coupling
body fitting on back of unit into water supply.
• Do not connect to a hot water supply. Be sure all
hot water restrictors installed for other equipment
are working. (Check valves on sink faucets,
dishwashers, etc.)
• Install a water shut-off valve in the water line at the
rear of the machine.
• Insulate water inlet lines to prevent condensation.
• An air gap is included in the design of the machine
for backflow prevention. Local code may require
an additional backflow prevention device.
Connect to a potable water supply only.
