5. CONNECTIONS
WARNING
In the event there has been an error in the connection of cables, you will need to restart
your product in order to connect again (this is due to the anti-spoofing protection
mechanism).
NOTE
After you hear 8 consecutive beeps, you will be able to insert a USB key containing a
configuration if necessary.
2 consecutive beeps indicate the end of the product’s startup sequence.
5.4.13 Antispoofing mechanism
WARNING
If you connect to an interface then unplug the cable to connect to another interface, you will
trip the firewall’s anti-spoofing security feature (it will then be impossible to connect to this
appliance). When this situation arises, there are two solutions – either you change the
address that you have just assigned to the administration host (this is what NETASQ
recommends), or you reboot the appliance after you have changed its interface.
