In addition, you can manually enter a protocol ID, either in Hex or decimal format.
Display of protocol ID is always in Hex format.
4. Click Add. The group is created.
Note: The per port association of Protocol Based VLAN Group to VLAN ID is
done in the Protocol Based VLAN Group Membership on page 54.
The following table displays the fields in the Protocol Based VLAN Mapping block:.
Field Description
Group ID Number of the protocol group.
VLAN ID VLAN member of group
Ports The ports that are included in the VLAN, due to Protocol Based VLAN
operation.
5. T
o remove the Protocol Based VLAN group identified by the value in the Group ID field,
click Delete.
6. Click Cancel to cancel the configuration on the screen and reset the data on the screen to
the latest value of the switch.
If you make any changes to an entry on this page, click Apply to send the updated
configuration to the switch. Configuration changes take place immediately
.
Protocol Based VLAN Group Membership
 To configure the protocol-based VLAN group membership and VLAN association:
1. Click Switching> VLAN > Advanced > Protocol Based VLAN Group Membership.
2. Select the protocol-based VLAN Group ID for which you want to display or configure data in
the Group ID drop-down menu.
3. Select a single VLAN from the VLAN ID drop-down menu.
This is the VLAN to which you
want to associate the specified group ID for the selected ports.
4. Port Block.
Add selected ports to this protocol-based VLAN group and selected VLAN ID,
by clicking on the ports.
5. LAG Block.
Add selected LAGs to this protocol-based VLAN group and selected VLAN ID,
by clicking on the ports.
Note: Classification of protocol-based VLAN Group ID to VLAN ID is a per
port configuration.
