Syntax [no] preferred-lifetime {seconds | infinite}
Context configure>service>vprn>router-advertisement>interface>prefix
Description This command configures the remaining length of time in seconds that this prefix will continue
to be preferred, such as, time until deprecation. The address generated from a deprecated
prefix should not be used as a source address in new communications, but packets received
on such an interface are processed as expected.
Default 604800
Parameter seconds — Specifies the remaining length of time in seconds that this prefix will continue to be
preferred.
Values: 0 — 4294967294
infinite — Specifies that the prefix will always be preferred. A value of 4,294,967,295 or above
represents infinity.

Context configure>service>vprn>router-advertisement>interface>prefix
Description This command specifies the length of time in seconds that the prefix is valid for the purpose of
onlink determination. A value of all one bits (0xffffffff) represents infinity. The address
generated from an invalidated prefix should not appear as the destination or source address
of a packet.
Default 2592000
Parameter seconds — Specifies the remaining length of time in seconds that this prefix will continue to be
preferred.
