Using the TS-03 Test Kit to Test the Conveyor Controller
Verifying Conveyor I/O:
1. With the system powered down, remove the I/O Cable from the Conveyor)
Controller.
2. Use the TS-01 Box and cables to verify each of the 24 I/O Bits available.
3. Set the TS-01 test box to I/O Mode (not Drivers) and set the bottom switches to
Independent so that the Inputs will be independent of the Outputs.
4. Use PORT A, B, and C cables to check 0-7, 8-15, 16-24 I/O, respectively.
5. Once the TS-03 cable is plugged into the I/O Port for the 201 Controller, you
may power up the system and access FmNT Tools to perform the I/O Check.
Using the TS-01 Test Box to cycle boards through the conveyor:
1. Attach the split SMEMA cable to the TS-01 box (this is the cable with the twist-
lock cable ends)
2. Disconnect the Upstream SMEMA cable from the machine upstream of the
Asymtek dispenser, and connect it to the TS-01 box SMEMA cable end labeled
“Upstream Cable”
3. Disconnect the Downstream SMEMA cable from the machine downstream of the
Asymtek dispenser, and connect it to the TS-01 box SMEMA cable end labeled
“Downstream Cable”
4. Verify the TS-01 black switch is set to I/O and not drivers
5. Place a boat on the Asymtek conveyor, upstream of the pre-heat station’s board
sensor
6. Go to the Run menu and choose Production Dry Run.
7. Press Button #3 on the TS-01 box.
8. Place another board on the upstream end of the Asymtek conveyor, and press
the TS-01 #3 button again to load a board into the pre-heat station, when the
LED #2 on the TS-01 box lights up again (fiducials are found and the program is
run in dry-mode).
9. Press the TS-01 button #5 the board at the dispense station will unload; once
the program is complete LED #4 on the TS-01 box will light up.
