D. ATI Graphics Card
1. The image captured by the ITI Vision card is output to the ATI Graphics
card.
2. This card, in turn, outputs the video image to the system Monitor.
E. PIO96-J Card
1. The PIO96-J Card provides Input/Output for signals controlled directly
through FmNT.
2. It is the expansion IO Card that is responsible for the majority of the inputs
and outputs used on the X1000.
3. Most peripheral devices pass through the PIO-96-J card.
4. The beacon, alarms, needle sensor and height sensor are all examples of bits
assigned to the PIO96.
F. PMAC Card
1. The Programmable Multi-Axis Controller (PMAC) issues commands that can
simultaneously move the Dispensing Head in X-, Y-, and Z-axes. It uses a
Digital Signal Processor (DSP) with an on-board Central Processing Unit
(CPU) to handle the motion calculations.
2. To maintain dynamic and static positional accuracy, the PMAC receives
constant feedback from the Linear and Rotary Encoders.
3. Communication with the FmNT software is through the Computer Main
Interface PWA, the PIO-96-J Board, and the Computer Main Interface Board.
4. The PMAC coordinates Dispensing Head motion with the forward/reverse
motions of the Dispensing Valve(s) and controls the pneumatic pressure for
the fluid and the Pump. The PMAC communicates these valve dispense
functions to the Dispense Head Controller through the Main Interface PWA
and XY Servo Interface PWA.
