N. Dots Are Stringing Or Stitching
Possible Cause Recovery
Dirty nozzle
Clean the nozzle with solvent and cleaning wire
(provided in Spare Parts Kit, shipped with DJ-2000).
Loose nozzle
Inspect the interface between the nozzle and
extension. Clean so that they are free of adhesive
and debris. Finger tighten or use a 19-inch/lb torque
wrench (available through Asymtek) to tighten the
nozzle.
Damaged nozzle Replace nozzle.
Incorrect temperature
Set the correct temperature. Refer to Section 4 –
Heater Control for Windows (HCW) of the Fluidmove
for Windows Installation and User Guide.
O. Dots Are Too Big
Possible Cause Recovery
Wrong nozzle size Replace with a smaller nozzle.
Too many shots per dot
Decrease the number of shots per dot by editing the
dot parameters in FMW. Refer to Section 8–
Beginning Programming, “Dots” in the Fluidmove for
Windows Installation and User Guide.
Micrometer setting is too
high
Reduce the needle stroke by rotating the micrometer
clockwise.
Fluid pressure too high Adjust the fluid pressure gauge to the correct setting.
P. Dots Are Too Small
Possible Cause Recovery
Wrong nozzle size Replace with a larger nozzle.
Too few dots per shot
Increase the number of shots per dot by editing the
dot parameters in FMW. Refer to Section 8–
Beginning Programming, “Dots” in the Fluidmove for
Windows User Guide.
Micrometer setting is too low
Increase the needle stroke by rotating the micrometer
counterclockwise.
Syringe pressure too low Adjust the fluid pressure to the correct setting.
