What to do if Olympus Measuring Instruments measurements cannot be made and the MEAS and LOS flags are on?

If you're unable to take measurements and see the MEAS and LOS flags on your Olympus Measuring Instruments, ensure you're using enough couplant, especially on uneven surfaces. Test the transducer on a smooth, flat sample. Adjust the Gain or Material Sensitivity. If problems persist, try a more sensitive transducer for your thickness range. If issues continue, the gage or transducer might need repair or replacement by Olympus.
