Software installation problems
Problem Solution
The Palm Desktop Installer
Menu did not appear when I
inserted the CD-ROM into my
Windows computer.
1.
Click the Start button.
2.
Choose Run from the Start menu.
3.
Click Browse.
4.
Locate your CD-ROM drive and select the Setup.exe file.
5.
Click Open.
6.
Click OK.
I cannot install Palm Desktop
software on my Windows
computer.
Try the following:
1.
Disable any virus scanning software on your computer.
2.
Press
CTRL-ALT-DELETE
and end all tasks except Systray and
Explorer.
NOTE
If a dialog with buttons appears instead of a list of
tasks, click the Task List button and then end all tasks
except Systray and Explorer.
3.
Make sure your computer has at least 30 MB of disk space
available.
4.
Delete all temporary files.
5.
Run ScanDisk on your computer.
6.
Reinstall Palm Desktop software.
I cannot install Palm Desktop
software on a Mac computer.
Try the following:
1.
Disable any virus scanning software on your computer.
2.
Quit any open applications.
3.
Make sure your computer has at least 25 MB of disk space
available.
4.
Reinstall Palm Desktop software.
