2. Connect each of the two CAN ports with the affiliated CAN
network.
Note: A High-speed CAN bus needs to be electrically termi-
nated on both ends using resistors of 120 .
3. Connect the RJ-45 connector using a LAN cable to the IP
network.
4. Connect the PCAN-Ethernet Gateway FD DR to a suitable
power supply (8 - 30 V).
The PCAN-Ethernet Gateway FD starts automatically. When the
status LED is blinking green, the device is ready and the current
configuration is executed.
Note: In case of a dynamic address assignment via DHCP, the
new IP address must first be determined. Commercial routers
list all connected devices with their current IP address.
