Appendix B: Troubleshooting
If you see an alarm message and are not sure what it means, look it up in the Alarm and error
messages
table below and then follow the instructions for resolving the alarm condition.
If you are having a problem using your PEC Plus, see if the problem is described in the
Troubleshooting table on page 79 and then follow the directions for correcting the problem.
Alarm and error messages
The following table lists the alarm and error messages, the possible causes, and their possible
solutions. If you see a message and are not sure what it means, look it up in the table and then
follow the instructions for resolving the condition.
Alarm message Possible cause Possible solution
k-al
High temperature alarm
The temperature has gone above
the high temperature alarm point.
Try to lower the temperature by
turning heaters down or off, or
by increasing or turning on
cooling elements (such as fans
or misters), or by a combination
of both.
Check the temperature probes.
Check to see if a fan has failed.
Check the alarm settings. For
more information, read
Programming alarm settings
on page 58.

Low temperature alarm
The temperature has gone below
the low temperature alarm point.
Try to raise the temperature by
turning heaters up or on, or by
decreasing or turning off cooling
elements (such as fans or
misters), or by a combination of
both.
Check the temperature probes.
Check to see if a heater has
failed.
Check the alarm settings. For
more information, read
Programming alarm settings
on page 58.
