Setup Menu Options (continued)
{ Disc } settings
Format
Formatting may be required for DVD±RW discs before they can
be used for recording on this recorder.
1) Press OK to select.
2) A con rmation message appears. Select { OK } to proceed
or { Cancel } to abort, then press OK to con rm.
Note: Once the disc is formatted, all the contents in the disc will be lost.
Finalise
Finalise the recorded DVD±R to enable playback on another
DVD player.
1) Press OK to select.
2) A con rmation message appears. Select { OK } to proceed
or { Cancel } to abort, then press OK to con rm.
Note: Once the DVD±R has been  nalised, no further recordings or
editing can be made to it. It is not possible to un nalise the DVD±R.
Lock
To prevent the recording from being erased or edited
accidentally, you can lock the recordable DVD.
1) Press OK to select.
2) A con rmation message appears. Select { OK } to proceed
or { Cancel } to abort, then press OK to con rm.
Note: If the current disc is locked, the option in the menu will change to
{ Unlock }. You can use this option to unlock a DVD±R/ DVD±RW
recorded on another DVD recorder.
Make Compatible
The edited DVD±RW may display the original titles or hidden
scenes when played back on other DVD players. This function
allows you to make the edited DVD±RW compatible with other
players.
1) Press OK to select.
2) A con rmation message appears. Select { OK } to proceed
or { Cancel } to abort, then press OK to con rm.
Note: If the option is not available, the disc has been made compatible.
