C - Securing cables
After all cable connections between the iQ control box, CPU and speakers
are completed, you’ll notice the excess Stereo Mini, SDL/6-pin and RCA-to-
RCA cable length hanging between the hardware. For neatness and future
ease of use, secure and store all remaining cable length with Velcro straps.
To secure and store excess cable length:
1. Remove two 1" x 4" Velcro cable straps from the Installation Kit.
2. Staple the Velcro cable straps to the side of the beam, next to the iQ control box —
approximately 4" apart.
NOTE: The excess strap length allows you to comfortably pull the control box from
under the piano for system set up, calibration or troubleshooting.
3. Neatly coil up each cable’s extra length and secure it to the beam with the Velcro
straps. (
See the picture at the beginning of this Appendix.
)
After the hardware installation is completed, see Appendix B: iQ Configuration Procedures
to learn about setting up the sync, level, learn and pedal settings, using auto music format
detection and troubleshooting steps.
