To balance volume levels between iQ and the music player:
1. Make sure you are in the Level Adjust mode.
• iQ has set the piano volume to mid-level and has muted the accompaniment volume
to prevent possible over-drive on the piano speakers.
2. Set the music player volume level
(
iPod/MP3 player, Multi-media player, etc
.) to slightly over
mid-level and the piano speakers to 75%.
3. From the music player, select and play PianoDisc music that has accompaniment.
4. While the piano is playing, push in and release the Select wheel to balance and save the
volume levels.
• While the LEDs (sync, level and learn) are flashing, iQ is matching its internal piano
and accompaniment volumes to the media player’s volume levels.
5. When iQ finishes matching its internal volume levels with the media player’s, the LEDs
stop flashing and the Status LED is illuminated.
6. Continue playing the song to balance the accompaniment volume with the piano volume:
• Increase or decrease the piano speaker volume until you find the desired balance
between the accompaniment performance and the piano performance.
7. Stop the music when you’re done.
IP - Now that the level is set how do I make the volume louder or softer?
First play a song, then increase or decrease the media player’s volume. If you can’t adjust
the player’s volume over a wide enough range, repeat the level adjustment procedure.
You may need to increase the media player and piano speaker volume settings, then
repeat iQ level adjustments a few times before you find your desired volume output and
range.
