If the distance from the middle ball to the center of the tenth ball on the left-hand side is more
than 122mm and on the right-hand side less than 118mm then the patient positioning mecha
-
nism must be moved away from the column (Fig. 51). Note, that the distance between the line
on the underside of the alignment ruler and the y-line on the ball phantom must be less than
±1mm, see section
“Adjustment in ball phantom’s y-direction” on page E-30.
