CONTROL OF IMAGING PLATES
Pay particular attention to use, care, mainte-
nance, and infection control of imaging
plates.
Before using the plates, read carefully the
instructions delivered inside the imaging plate
kit.
Only Planmeca imaging plates can be used with
Planmeca ProScanner.
Handle the imaging plates with care. Damage in
the plate can result in the production of artifacts
that may interfere with diagnosis.
Make sure you use hygienic bags. The hygienic
bags have been found in most cases to be
effective in protecting the imaging plate from
becoming contaminated. Remove the hygienic
bags after use on each patient to prevent cross-
contamination. The hygienic bags are for single
patient use only.
16.1 Using protective cover
Never reuse a protective cover. A protective
cover is for single patient use only.
1. Back side of imaging plate.
2. Front = active side of imaging plate.
3. Place the protective cover on the active side of
the imaging plate.
4. Fold the tail of protective cover to opposite side
of imaging plate.
