BREATHER HOSE
1. Be sure breather line is routed properly and
securedinplace. CAUTION: Makesure linesare
not kinked, pinched or has any sags that may
collect and hold moisture.
RECOIL HOUSING
G Drain the housing periodically to
remove moisture.
Recoil Drain
B
G Drain the recoil housing after
operating the ATV in very wet
conditions. Thisshouldalsobedone
before storing the ATV. The drain
screw is located at the bottom of the
recoil housing. Remove the screw
with a 10 mm wrench. Reinstall
screw once housing has been
drained.
G CAUTION: Make sure the manual
start handle is fully seated on the
recoil housing, especially when
travelling in wet areas. If it is not
sealed properly, water may enter the
recoil housing and damage
components.
G Water will enter the recoil housing if
the starter handle is disengaged
from the rope guide when under
water.
G After travelling in wet areas, the
recoil housing and starter should
always be drained completely by
removing the recoil.
G Do not open the crankcase drain
unless the engine has ingested
water. Some engine oil will be lost if
crankcase drain is opened.
G If recoil handle seal has been
damaged, the handle assembly
should be replaced.
PVT DRAIN PLUG & DRYING
NOTE: If operating the ATV in or through water , be
sure to check the PVT cover and other components
for water ingestion. The ATV should be checked
immediately.

2. To further expel water from the cover and to dry
out the PVT system, shift the transmission to
neutral and rev engine slightly to expel the
moisture and air-dry the belt and clutches. Allow
engine RPM to settle to idle speed, shift
transmission to lowest available range and test
for beltslippage. OperateATVinlowestavailable
range for a short period of time until PVT system
is dry.
ENGINE OIL LEVEL
The oil tank is located on the left side of the vehicle.
To check the oil level:
