the CX5500 unified conference station and use the unified conference station as the audio and video device
for your Skype for Business calls.
To connect a laptop to the CX5500 unified conference station:
» Connect the USB cable on the CX5500 unified conference station to the USB port on your laptop.
Place a Video Call
When the CX5500 unified conference station is connected to a computer with the Skype for Business client,
you can use the unified conference station as the camera and audio device for your Skype for Business
meetings.
To place a video call:
1 In the Skype for Business client, do one of the following:
 Click and scroll to the contact you want to call.
 Enter your contact’s name in the search box.
As you type, contacts matching your criteria display.
2 Right-click on the contact and click Start a Video Call.
Add Participants to Video Call
After you start your video call, you can add additional contacts to participate in the call.
To invite others to join a conference:
» From a conversation window in the Skype for Business client, do one of the following:
 Click and click Invite More People. Find the person you want and click OK.
 Drag a contact from your contacts list into the conversation window.
Answer Video Calls
When you receive a call, you see a call notification in the Skype for Business client and on the CX5500
unified conference station that shows who is calling.
To answer the call:
» In the incoming call notification, click Accept to join the call.
Decline a Video Call
When you receive an incoming video call and do not want to answer the call, you can choose to decline,
ignore, or respond to the call with an instant message.
