Navigating Menus and Entering Data
To navigate menus and enter data, follow these tips:
Ringing The phone is ringing.
Unregistered Line The phone is unable to place and receive calls.
Message You have a new message. See Using Voice
Mail on page 3-16 and Using Instant
Messaging on page 4-6.
Icon Line or Call State Description
Note
After 20 seconds of inactivity, the menu system automatically exits to the idle
screen unless an edit session is in progress.
If you want to... Then do this...
Enter the main menu Press .
Exit the main menu and return
to the idle screen
Press .
Return to the previous menu Press .
In some cases, you can press the Back soft key
to return to the previous menu.
Scroll through menu items Use .
When lists appear on more than one page, you
can press the * key to Page Up, or press the
# key to Page Down.
Scroll through lists or fields Use or the Next and Prev soft keys.
