22 Scheduled Maintenance
Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS)
Perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) every six
months or after every 1000 hours of operation, whichever comes first.
Do these checks more often if the printer is used for heavyduty, continuous
printing or is located in a dusty area.
PMCS are listed in Table 21.
WARNING
Disconnect the ac power cord before performing PMCS. Failure to do so
could result in injury to you or damage to equipment.

Interval Procedure
Inspect the printer.
Clean the printer.
Check and adjust
platen gap.
Every 6 months or 1000
hours of operation,
whichever occurs first.
