• If you do decide to calculate dimensional weight manually, you first need to
multiply the Length, Width, and Height of what you are sending to determine if
it is over 1 cubic foot or 1,728 cubic inches.
• If your package is less than 1,728 cubic inches. Your package will be priced off
of the actual weight.
• If your package is greater than 1,728 cubic inches, you will divide the cubic inches
by 166 to calculate the weight of your package.
• Determine if the calculated weight is higher then the actual weight, if it is go to
manual weight on you mailing system and enter the calculated weight, select
your desired class, and enter the zip code.
Step 2: Decide to use the Calculated Weight or the Actual Weight
After you have calculated the Dimensional Weight, compare the calculated weight to
the actual weight of the item.
• If the calculated weight is lower then the actual weight, place the item on the
scale and process as normal, select your desired class, and enter the zip code.
• If the calculated weight is higher then the actual weight, go to manual weight
on you mailing system and enter the calculated weight, select your desired class,
and enter the zip code.
Using Manual Weight
To enter the weight manually from the home screen, you must first select the postal
class:
