IP Cameras (connued)
SI. No. & Name: Name and number of the parcular camera connected to the system.
Name: Designated camera name.
IP Address: The numbered address code for the camera
DHCP: (Dynamic Host Conguraon Protocol) This will show either
‘Disabled’ if there is a designated IP address for the camera,
or ‘Enabled’ if the camera does not.
Model: This will display what model name the camera goes under.
Firmware Version: This will list the camera’s controlling soware version number.
Serial No.: When the camera is connected to a network a MAC address will
also be assigned to it.
Clicking the ‘More’ buon will produce a pop up window that will list all the informaon above
plus the ‘MAC Address’, ‘Subnet Mask’ and ‘Gateway’ informaon for that parcular camera.
IP Cameras: Privacy Region Sengs
(Only available on certain Qvis branded IP cameras).
Within this menu you can set blanked out
areas on the camera’s eld of view. These
blanked out areas will show as black squares
on the recorded footage and you will not be
able to retrieve the video detail behind them.
This feature can be used to preserve a 3rd
person’s privacy when they are within the
same area covered by the Cortex surveillance
system’s cameras, e.g. use this feature to
block out the view into someone’s bathroom/
bedroom window.
