5.10 B/U Switch Interface (J5)
The Backup Switch Interface (J5) is a D Sub 15 Pin Female Connector that connects each
converter with the RCU101 or RCU108 Backup Switch Unit. This cable is not daisy-chained
between converters, but serves as a direct link for each converter in the configuration, whether they
are the individual online converters or the backup unit. This interface finds use in both the 1:1 and
1:N configuration type switches. The pinout of the switch is listed in Table 5-6.
