system, expanding the number of available channels. Different MCD
models can be mixed in the system. If the system completely comprises
MCD-232 models, the number of connected servers can be expanded to
1024.

Overview
To organize a "two-tier" system, just connect one or multiple MCD
switches to a MCD switch.
All MCD switches connected to the same MCD switch are the
SECOND-TIER devices, and the FIRST-TIER MCD switch that connects
these second-tier devices is the "base switch".
You can also connect multiple MCD switches to one MCD-LED KVM
drawer to form a two-tier system. However, the MCD-LED KVM drawer
can never be a 2nd-tier device.
Servers can be connected to any available channel ports in the system,
including channel ports on the base switch.
