National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Messages
The Phoenix 300 receiver can be used to communicate with other electronic devices including a Raven light
bar or field computer. The Phoenix 300 conforms to the communication protocol (set of rules) known as the
NMEA-0183 standard established by the National Marine Electronics Association. The NMEA-0183 standard
contains numerous message formats such as the ones described below, which the Phoenix 300 receiver uses
with other devices to send and receive signals.
