TheRay53,Ray63andRay73are12Vdc,ClassDDigitalSelectiveCalling(DSC)VHFradios.
DSCenablesyoutomakeaselectivecalltoaspecificradio,andtotransmitandreceiveposition
informationtoandfromtheselectedradio.DSCalsoallowstransmissionofadistressalerttoall
radioswithinrangeatthetouchofabutton.OnceaDSCrequestissentandacknowledged,voice
communicationiscarriedoutonthechannelchosenbythecaller.Theradiocantransmitandreceive
onallavailableUS,Canadian,InternationalandPrivatemarineVHFchannels.
