Y ourradiorequiresaVHFantennatofunctionasaradio.Ifyouintendtousetheradio’sinternal
GNSS(GPS)receiverthenyouwillalsorequireaGNSS(GPS)passiveantennatobeconnected.The
antennaconnectionscanbeprotectedsothattheycannotcomeintocontactwithanygrounded
baremetal.Thisisespeciallyimportantwheninstallingtheradioonmetalstructure.
Pre-requisites:
Ensureyouhaveinstalledyourantennasinaccordancewiththeinstructionssuppliedwiththe
antennas.
EnsurethecableshavebeenproperlyroutedtotheBasestationandthatsufficientcablelengthis
availabletomaketheconnections.
Note:
Followsteps2and3toinstalltheantennaswithnoprotection.
WhenmountingtheBasestationonmetalstructure
,inordertopreventgalvaniccorrosion,
ensureALLstepsarefollowedsothattheantennasareisolatedfromthevessel’smetalwork.
