8.1 Symbols used in this Manual

This Manual contains general information and safety instructions.

The meaning of the symbols is given below.

Safety and information texts are highlighted by symbols in front of them.

Symbol

Meaning

Danger

Warns against an imminent hazardous situation that can result in death, serious

injury or property damage if not avoided.

Warning

Warns against a situation that, if not avoided, results in death, serious injury or

property damage.

Caution

This symbol indicates a potentially hazardous situation that can result in injuries or

property damage if not avoided.

Warning against dangerous electric voltage is marked with this symbol.

Warning against laser beams

This symbol indicates that a suitable pair of goggles must be worn.

Electrostatic sensitive devices (ESD)

This symbol indicates that electrostatic discharges must be avoided since they might

interfere with the functionality or destroy components.

ESD protection component

This symbol indicates that electrostatic discharges must be avoided. Appropriate measures

must be taken to protect the device.
