Furthermore, it is possible to select the option “ignore Quietzone error if scan range is too small”.
This means not evaluating the quiet zones if the scanned area is too small.
On the third menu screen for evaluation it is possible to implement
the settings for the evaluations of the code sizes and decoding. It is
only possible to accept one of the 4 different values from the code
sizes for the evaluation results, because this concerns identical
information - depending on the code type - although with 4 different
name designations.
Z-Module: This is the measured module width in a bar code. This is
unique size information in µm for all bar code
symbologies.
Size: If the size is given as a %, this pertains to the standard
size in the specification. 100% refers to X=0.33mm
MF: Magnification factor pertaining to the reference module
width (1mm). This information is only used for EAN128 and ITF-14 codes. (is no longer
used with GS1)
CPI: Characters per inch. This data is rarely used and is for information purposes only.
Size, MF and CPI are calculated from the Z-module measured value.
5.6.1.3.4 <3> Settings Sub-menu <4> Device configure with 8 sub-menus
“4 Device configure” facilitates device settings in further sub-menus that rarely require changing.
