14.4.2 UPS Battery
The UPS is used to protect the PC from the loss of electric power. (See the below figure.)
When exchanging the built-in battery in the UPS, refer to the manual of the UPS.
CAUTION
When exchanging the built-in battery in the UPS, strictly follow
lock-out/tag-out of the instrument before exchanging.
(Refer to “2.4 Lock-out/Tag-out”.)
Refer to “A4.1 Power Circuit Diagram” for the UPS power connection.
(1) Turn off the main breaker lock-out handle. (Refer to “2.4 Lock-out/Tag-out”.)
(2) Remove the lower panel on the left side of the Main Module.
(3) Turn off the power switch of the CPU.
(4) Pull out the PC rack and the front unit of the PC and exchange the built-in battery.
NOTE
About the details for exchange, refer to the manual of the UPS.
CAUTION
The PC rack in the left lower side of the Main Module can be pulled out
for the maintenance.
Take care not to trip over it.
(5) Re-install the PC and the PC rack, and turn on the power switch of the PC.
(6) Re-install the panel that was removed.
(7) Turn on the main breaker lock-out handle, and battery charging starts.
