If Colors Are Uneven
Light Choke Cleaning
Perform this cleaning when printed colors are unstable or uneven, e.g., when color density is inconsistent,
even if the same data is printed with the same settings. This will stabilize the output colors by agitating the ink.

Light choke cleaning consumes a lot of ink, and overly frequent use may damage the print heads them-
selves. Avoid using this cleaning method more than necessary.

If the message [EMPTY DRAIN BOTTLE] is displayed on the screen
When the screen shown on the left is displayed, discard the
discharged uid. When you attach the empty drain bottle
to the machine again and press
, the machine
performs the procedure below.
CAUTION
The discharged uid must be
discarded at this stage.
If you do not discard it at this stage,
discharged uid will overow from
the drain bottle during the proce-
dure that follows.
CAUTION
Before you detach the drain bot-
tle, be sure to wait for the screen
to display "EMPTY DRAIN BOT-
TLE."
Failing to follow this procedure may cause discharged uid to ow
out of the machine and spill, soiling your hands or the oor.
