Maintenance That Should Be Performed Once every Six Months or More
Refreshing Subtanks (REFRESH SUBTANKS)
Refresh the subtanks once every six months to resolve issues with ink components precipitating in the sub-
tanks. If this procedure is not performed once every six months, print quality may be adversely aected, e.g.
printed colors may be uneven.
This operation is eective when light choke cleaning does not resolve uneven color issues.

that the drain bottle is installed.


The screen shown on the left is displayed, and the subtanks start
refreshing.
The remaining process time (estimated) is displayed on the screen.
("02:10" = "2 minutes and 10 seconds")
Refreshing the subtanks consumes more ink and places more of a strain on the print heads than light
choke cleaning. Undertake this procedure with caution if performing it more than once every six months.
