Shrouded Electrode Module
The Shrouded Electrode Module, ETD-005-3, is designed for use near
conductive objects such as fence lines. The electrode is recessed
within a non-conductive shroud to reduce the risk of accidently
touching the electrode to the conductive object when treating
weeds nearby.
The Shrouded Electrode Module is designed for treating small to
medium sized weeds only. The weed must be fully enclosed by the
shroud. Any part of the weed that extends beyond the shroud and
contacts the structure during treatment may cause the structure to
become live at treatment voltage.
Ensure the base of the shrouded electrode rests on the ground.
If the weed is too big to be enclosed by the shroud, cut down the
weed to a suitable size and rake to one side before treatment. If you
are treating a patch of weeds then ensure none of the weeds are
touching the conductive structure.
Even when using the Shrouded Electrode prevent bystanders or
animals from touching the structure and have line of site to all of the
structure. Use barriers if necessary. If you can’t guarantee that no
person or animal is touching the structure then do not treat.
