PRESERVATION AND TRANSPORT
PRESERVATION OF ENGINE AND EQUIPMENT
For longer periods out of operation (winter time), make sure that the engine will be properly
preserved.
Step
Procedure
1 Detach carburetor, drain fuel from carburetor and close carburetor openings
to ensure that no dust or dirt can enter.

If the vehicle gets stored at temperatures below freezing, drain the entire
cooling system and clean the cooling circuit with pressure air.

Not following this may lead to engine damage.

Close intake and exhaust port of engine with adhesive tape so that they are
airtight.
4 Apply oil on exhaust system to prevent corrosion.

Remove battery from the fixture and charge periodically with the specified
battery charger.

TRANSPORT OF THE KART
If the carburetor is still filled with fuel, the kart is only allowed to be transported in a horizontal
position.
If the kart is to be transported in a vertical position, the fuel must be drained from the carburetor
first.
NOTE
If the kart is in a vertical position at transport, the remaining fuel in the carburetor
might flow into the crankcase with the result that the engine won’t start at next try.

Procedure
1
Remove drain screw on float chamber of carburetor and collect the fuel in a
suitable container.
2 Clean drain screw and refit.
