7.5. Special functions [expert settings]
7.5.1. Release contact
Faults that prevent the correct operation of one or more of the control units connected to the bus are
indicated by the lighting up of the red LED lamp on the outside of the control unit. The release relay is
activated simultaneously with the red LED lamp. This allows faults in the heating system to be signalled to the
outside. The release relay can be configured as an opening or closing contact. Opening means that the
release contact is opened in the event of faults - a closed contact signals fault-free operation of the heating
system. For a closing contact, the inverse logic applies.
7.5.2. Gas meter scaling
Function:
The energy consumption of the system is displayed [section 9.2].
Premise:
The "Gas meter" function is assigned to a digital control input which receives the pulses from the gas
meter [section 7.3].
The calorific value of the gas in kWh/m³ is known.
The flow volume in m³/gas meter pulse is known.
To calculate the energy consumption factor, see example.
Execution:
To display the energy consumption of the system, the resulting factor must be calculated and entered.
Calculation example:
The customer purchases gas with a calorific value of 10 kWh/m³. 1 m³ gas flow per gas meter pulse.
Resulting factor kWh/pulse==10 kWh/pulse
7.5.3. Duration of heating time extension
See section 5.6.1. Here, the duration of the heating time extension can be set in minutes. The default setting is
60 min.
7.5.4. Service interval
Enter the months until the next planned maintenance. These months are counted down [section 9.2]. The
expiry of the set time is indicated by the continuous illumination of the yellow LED lamp on the outside of the
SchwankControl.
7.5.5. Set temperature display
You can specify whether the setpoint temperature is displayed on the Home screen.
