10.8. IC4000 error codes [DE&EN]
The same fault codes given in the IC4000 documentation are used for burner faults that are displayed in
the diagnostics function of the SchwankControl [see also section 9.1].
Ionisation Error During Start
If no flame is detected after ALL ignition attempts during
start-up.
Ionisation Error During Operation
If no flame is detected after ALL ignition attempts following
a flame loss during operation.
APS Open Error
APS = Air pressure switch
Active for luminous heaters with active PWM fan and
active PP09 APS ACTIVE.
APS Closed Error
APS = Air pressure switch
Active for luminous heaters with active PWM fan and
active PP09 APS ACTIVE
Error is shown, if APS is active without fan activation.
Error is shown, if PWM fan is selected, but no Hall signal, or
speed < 10 rotations per second.
This error is shown after 3 seconds at the earliest.
"Encoder Signal Unexpected"
Error
Appears if phase angle fan PP02 is selected with encoder
signal of > 30 rotations per second.
This error is shown after 3 seconds at the earliest.
Gas Valve Feedback Circuit Error
Error in gas valve control circuit.
Appears when the ionisation circuit shows abnormal
values.
"Encoder Signal Out Of Range"
Error
Error appears, if the PWM fan is selected, the fan is not
activated and a Hall signal > 15 rotations per second is
given.
This error is shown after 30 seconds.
"Modbus Signal Missing” Error
If bus control, PP01, is selected and no signal has been
received for more than 3 minutes, this error is given, and
the heater switches OFF.
The heater is not locked.
