Max. site altitude 2000 m above MSL (Units with air cooling only: 100 % rat-
ed current up to 1000 m above MSL; at higher altitudes
the rated current must be reduced by 1.5 % per 100 m.)

Important
Make sure that the aeration elements are free and open, so that the air circulation is not
restricted.
5.4.3 Current Derating Due to Site Altitude and
Temperature
The following table indicates the rated current in percent depending on the site altitude
and the ambient temperature:
Site altitude above MSL
Temperature
≤1000 m ≤2000 m
≤40 °C 100 % 85 %
≤50 °C 85 % 70 %
≤60 °C 70 % 55 %
Linear interpolation is allowed.

5.4.4 Current Derating Due to Low Speed
During phases of a static rotating field or low rotating field frequencies (f ≤ 5 Hz) the
power semiconductors of the output stage are subject to higher loads.
