A - 20 Instructions for Use
Contrast Agent Imaging Option
WARNING: Carefully follow the manufacturers’ instructions for use, including indications and
contraindications, when administering ultrasound contrast agents.
 Compatible transducer: 4C1
Supported studies: Abdomen, Renal, Gynecology, Pelvis
 Compatible transducer: 9L4
Supported studies: All except Fetal Echo, Obstetrics, Pediatric Abdomen, and Pediatric Hip
 Compatible transducer: EC9-4, MC9-4
Supported studies: Prostate
 Compatible transducer: 6C1 HD
Supported studies: Abdomen, Renal
 Supports the following acquisition techniques: Contrast Pulse Sequencing (CPS), Agent
Detection Imaging (ADI)
– CPS is a low Mechanical Index continuous real-time, non-linear imaging technique
that provides contrast-to-tissue specificity.
– ADI is a high Mechanical Index imaging technique that uses the emission properties of
contrast agents to characterize their presence or absence in the tissue.
 Supports the following contrast agent destruction techniques: Burst, Micro-Bubble
Destruction (MBD)
– Burst is a high Mechanical Index technique designed to rapidly destroy the injected
contrast agent bubbles for a view of re-perfusion immediately afterwards.
– MBD is a high Mechanical Index non-imaging mode technique for rapid destruction of
contrast agent.
