3 Configuration and commissioning of the
Service Bridge
The following steps are necessary in order to configure a SCALANCE XC-200
switch to a Service Bridge:

These steps can be carried out either in a separate network or directly on the plant bus using
the switch. In both cases, the switch is accessed via port 1.
CAUTION
Connect the PROFINET networks to the Service Bridge only after the
configuration steps are completed. Otherwise the network separation will
not be maintained.
