3.3 Installation for Desigo Fire Safety Modular / Cerberus PRO Modular
Applications
For Desigo Fire Safety Modular/Cerberus PRO Modular applications, the switch may be mounted
in either the Network Enclosure NTWRK-ENCL or on a VNT Mounting Plate VNT-MP in a CAB-2
or CAB-3 Enclosure.
3.3.1 Mounting in the Network Enclosure
The Ethernet connection to the Desigo Fire Safety Modular/Cerberus PRO Modular
Enclosure must be within 20 feet in closed conduit within the same room. Refer to the
NTWRK-ENCL Installation Instructions, Document ID A6V12412370, for details on
mounting the XC206-2SFP-MM/-SM on the Network Enclosure.
3.3.2 Mounting on the VNT-MP in a CAB-2 / CAB-3 Enclosure
The VNT-MP can be used to mount the Scalance XC206-2SFP-MM/-SM fiber switch in CAB-
2 and CAB-3 Enclosures in three different configurations:
Panel Enclosures (non-VNT applications)
Building VNT Enclosures
FCC VNT Enclosures
Refer to the VNT-MP Installation Instructions, P/N 315-050489, for details on mounting the
XC206-2SFP-MM/-SM on the VNT-MP.
3.3.2.1 Installation on a VNT-MP in a CAB-2 / CAB-3 Enclosure (non-VNT Applications)
