2. PRE-INSTALLATION
2.1 SFP Adapter

The SFP is an adapter used to connect either Multimode or Single Mode fiber to the switch. They connect
to the Transceiver Slots.
Each fiber may be either Multimode or Single Mode. Therefore, provided that the connectors for any fiber
match, any of the following combinations are possible on the Switch:
Multimode + Multimode
Multimode + Single Mode
Single Mode + Multimode
Single Mode + Single Mode
To install the SFP transceiver, ensure that power is disconnected from the switch.
For required specification for the fiber, refer to the section Fiber Connections.
