Memory expansion options
The device features a card reader slot for Compact Flash cards (types I / II). We recommend
Compact Flash cards for industrial application (industrial grade cards from the company
SANDISK, for example). These have distinguished themselves with especially good data
security, a long life and excellent data transmissions rates.
Notice
This slot is not hot-plug capable. The Compact Flash card must be installed before the PC is
switched on and should only be removed when the device is switched off.
Preparation
Disconnect the PC from mains.
Caution
The electronic components on the PCBS are highly sensitive to electrostatic discharge. It is
therefore vital to take precautionary measures when handling these components. Refer to
the directives for handling electrostatic sensitive components.
