3.4 Connecting the device

The relevant symbol on the device identifies the terminal for the earth connection.
● T20 screwdriver
● Cable lug for M4
● Protective conductor or equipotential-bonding cable with minimum cross-section 2.5 mm

The figure below shows the connection of a protective conductor in a built-in unit. Proceed
the same way as you would when connecting an equipotential-bonding cable in a built-in unit
or the PRO device.
Clamp the cable lug onto the
ground cable:
– PE conductor: yellow-green,
as depicted.
– Equipotential bonding: black
Using the M4 screw, firmly at
the cable lug to the earth
connection on the device with a
torque of 1.5 Nm.
Connect the protective conductor
or equipotential bonding to the
earth connection of the cabinet or
plant in which the device is
installed.
