Hardware reset
If the device does not respond to input from the keyboard or mouse, restart it with the
hardware reset. A started operating system will not hereby shut down safely.
With a hardware reset, the device is switched off and restarted.
• Data in the main memory is deleted.
• Data on the data storage media may be lost.
• The device may be damaged.
Perform a hardware reset only in the case of an emergency.
Hardware reset with on-off button:
• Press the on/off button for more than 4 seconds.
– The unit switches off.
– To switch the device on again, press the on/off button again.
Hardware reset with reset button:
• Press the reset button.
– The device switches off and on again.
