SFC operating states
Icon State Meaning
Aborting Processing after Abort command.
Aborted Cancellation processing is complete; waiting for Re‐
set or Start command.
Run Processing after ending the processing in the "Start‐
ing" state.
Held Cancellation processing in "Held" is complete; wait‐
ing for "Resume", "Abort", or "Stop" command.
Held
(Error)
Error processing is complete no more errors pending;
waiting for "Resume", "Abort", or "Stop" command.
Holding Processing after "Hold" command.
Completing Processing after "Complete" command or after
implicit complete.
Completed Processing in "Completing" state is complete; waiting
for "Reset", "Start", "Abort", or "Stop" command.
(empty) Idle Processing in initial state; waiting for "Start" com‐
mand.
Error Processing after "Error" command.
Error

state.
Resuming Processing after command "Resume" or "Start".
