Example of coding options for the path status
The following table shows an example of the coding options of the path status for a CP.
The abbreviations for the interfaces have the following meaning:
● IE1 = Ethernet interface
● WAN = Serial interface
Same coding of the configured interface for the main and the substitute path means that
there is no path redundancy (only one interface configured). The path status is then output
via the bits of the main path (1st path).

Time-of-day synchronization
Validity
The basic instructions for time-of-day synchronization apply generally to the CP and the
connected networks.
For a CP with firmware version V2.1 the time-of-day synchronization is specified by the
configuration in STEP 7 V5.
The following explanations of the configuration apply to the CP as of firmware version V3.
The adoption of the time of day from the CPU is supported by the CP as of firmware version
V2.1.77 along with a CPU as of version V4.2.
